Milan

Last month we visited Milan alongside sourcing in Bologna.

An afternoon at the Pinacoteca di Brera, originally part of the Brera Academy and still holding that sense of structure. The building itself is quite calm — ordered, proportioned — which shifts how you move through it.

The Giorgio Armani Exhibition sat naturally within that. The work feels consistent — material and line doing the work, nothing overstated. It’s quite quiet, but deliberate. It’s interesting how much of it comes back to reduction. Not simplifying, but removing what isn’t needed.

Stopped at 10 Corso Como for lunch — still one of those spaces that manages to hold retail, publishing and place without feeling forced. Dinner at La Libreria later on.

Giorgia Armani at Pinacoteca di Brera until 3 may 2026.
