Erik Magnussen for Torben Ørskov. Z down Leather Sling Chair

The "Z Down" chair was designed in 1968 by Erik Magnussen. It was then produced throughout the 1970s by the Danish manufacturer Torben Ørskov. The frame consists of two pieces of folding tubular steel in a chrome finish that are joined by the newly produced thick cognac leather seat and back with hand-sewn, saddle stitching. A continuous steel line supports a suspended leather seat; fixed structure set against responsive material.
