Victorian Black Ostrich Feather Fan

A Victorian evening fan composed of black ostrich feathers mounted on faux tortoiseshell guards. The scale is soft but dramatic, with movement carried through feather and frame.

Each feather is individually mounted to the sticks, creating a wide, fluid arc when opened. The darker guards provide structure against the softness of the plume.

A formal evening object, designed for movement. Its presence comes from scale and material rather than ornament.

Very good antique condition with light feather wear consistent with age.
